Dr Dan Amoah

Petrochemical Engineer

He is a Petrochemical Engineer with specialty in the processing of oil and gas. In addition, he holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree from Swiss Business School (SBS), Switzerland and Nobel International Business School, (NiBS), Ghana.

He worked for the Ministry of Energy, Ghana, from 1987 to 2005 and rose to the rank of the Acting Director of Petroleum and Head, Petroleum Downstream from 2001 to October 2005. From October 2005 to January 2013, he worked at the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) as the Director responsible for petroleum products pricing, planning and research.

From February 2013 to April 2018, he was the Managing Director of Chase Petroleum Ghana Limited, responsible for the day to day management of the Bulk Oil Distribution Company. From May 2018 to date, he has been Group Executive Director at CH Group, responsible for petroleum downstream strategy and Adviser to the Group Executive Chairman.

He sits on the Boards of Chase Petroleum, Tema Tank Farm, Adinkra Storage Company, Adinkra Supply Company, and on the Board of United Storage Company Limited. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Methodist Development Fund (MDF) of The Methodist Church Ghana.

He is Christian and loves and supports the work of the Lord.  He is a Bible Class Leader and a Leader at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church at Sakumomo, Tema. He is also a past President of the Sakumono Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International (FBGMFI).

Mr. Amoah is married to Dorothy A. Amoah (Mrs), and together they have four (4) children.  He loves reading, music and sports especially football and boxing.   His major goal in life is to attain his maximum potential through training, education and hard work and help others to achieve their goals in life.
